So I went to a seminar last night on how to find and apply for research jobs run by Dr. Lila Gierasch.  She runs a lab on campus that focuses on researching protein folding dynamics within the cell and the seminar turned into a mini lecture on intramolecular mechanics within polypeptide chains.  It was absolutely fascinating :)
